About Unified

Clean energy, intelligently connected.

We bring together the right technologies, expertise and delivery partners to create practical, commercially sound energy solutions for businesses.

Purpose

To help businesses transition to cleaner, smarter and more resilient energy infrastructure.

Unified Energy Group works with organisations across manufacturing, logistics, food production, data centres, healthcare and engineering to understand their operations, energy use, property, growth plans and risk.

We then develop a clear pathway and bring together the right specialists and technologies to deliver it. The answer may be a single project or a phased roadmap — but it is always built around the client's business, not a product.

Our positioning is deliberately technology-agnostic. That independence is what allows us to sit next to your finance director as an adviser, not a supplier.

How we deliver

Identify the optimal strategy — then implement it properly.

Our work starts with analysis, not installation. We review how a site actually uses energy, its tariffs, load profile, property constraints, grid position and growth plans, then model the options against cost, carbon and risk. That gives a clear, evidence-led view of which measures are worth doing, in what order, and what each is genuinely worth.

From there we take responsibility for implementation. We define the specification, run procurement, appoint the right delivery route and manage the programme through to commissioning and handover — so the case made on paper is the result delivered on site.

Delivery is either through our own in-house capability or through a small network of vetted specialist partners, selected on the basis of site, scale and programme rather than convenience.

Solar — a first step

Often the simplest and most attractive place to begin.

For many businesses, on-site solar is the simplest and most financially attractive first step towards lower-cost, lower-carbon energy. It can deliver immediate savings while creating the foundation for battery storage, electrified heat, EV charging and intelligent energy management.

Unified has developed its own in-house solar delivery solution, UEG Solar, to give clients high quality at competitive prices, with direct control over design standards, procurement and installation discipline. Alongside it we keep a network of vetted solar delivery partners, so every project gets the right delivery route.

Solar is not automatically the answer for every site — we only recommend it where it makes commercial and technical sense, then build outward from there.

Brand pillars

Four commitments that shape every engagement.

01

Independent thinking

Advice shaped by the client's needs — not a single product, manufacturer or installer relationship.

02

Trusted specialists

The right expertise for each project, drawn from an established network of technology and regional delivery partners.

03

Commercial focus

Clear cases built around value and risk. Every recommendation carries a cost, resilience and carbon rationale.

04

Long-term relationships

Support beyond the installation — through planning, delivery, monitoring, optimisation and future upgrades.

Our team

The people behind the advice.

A small, senior team that combines deep technology understanding with commercial delivery experience.

Jamie Barnett

Delivery & operations

Hands-on experience running complex energy projects from feasibility through to commissioning and handover.

Sales

Forming an understanding of each customer's needs, presenting tailored solutions and formulating commercially attractive deal structures.

Around that core team sits a carefully built network of partnerships — technology manufacturers, funders, grant specialists and regional delivery contractors. Those relationships let us stay independent while still bringing serious depth of capability to each project, matching the right specialists to the right site rather than defaulting to a single supplier.

Where we work

Based in the West Midlands. Delivering nationally.

Our home is the industrial heartland of the UK — a region where energy costs, grid constraints and decarbonisation ambition intersect every day. We work alongside regional delivery partners across England, Scotland and Wales.

Tone of voice

Clear, calm, practical, evidence-led.

We avoid green clichés, unexplained jargon and aggressive sales language. We explain benefits in commercial terms and lead with the problem — not the product.

Whether you are considering solar and batteries today or planning a wider transition in the years ahead, we can help turn complexity into a practical, investable plan.
