Solar carports convert car parks into generation assets. They suit sites with weak or fully occupied roofs, deliver shaded and sheltered parking, and sit directly above the EV charging demand that makes daytime generation so valuable.
Workplace EV charging peaks during the working day — the same hours a canopy generates. Pairing the two lifts self-consumption well above what an equivalent rooftop array would achieve on a lightly loaded site.
Where charging demand exceeds available grid capacity, a canopy plus battery can defer or avoid an expensive supply upgrade entirely.
Rooftop solar is invisible from the ground. A carport is the first thing staff, customers and visitors see — which matters when your energy commitment is part of your customer proposition, tender responses or ESG reporting.
We design canopies with integrated LED lighting, guttering and drainage, EV charger mounting and, where required, ANPR or barrier integration — so the finished structure works as parking infrastructure, not just a frame holding panels.
