Rooftop PV

Commercial rooftop solar

Turn unused industrial and commercial roof space into decades of lower-cost, lower-carbon electricity.

Large industrial and warehouse roofs are the most productive asset most businesses never use. Rooftop solar puts generation directly behind the meter, where every kilowatt-hour you self-consume displaces the full delivered cost of imported electricity — commodity, network charges and levies included.

Designed around your half-hourly load, not the roof area

The value of a rooftop array is set by self-consumption. We start from twelve months of half-hourly import data, overlay a modelled generation profile for your latitude, pitch, orientation and shading, and size the system to the point where marginal panels stop paying back.

That often means a smaller, better array than a panel-filled roof — or a larger one paired with storage, flexible loads or an on-site EV fleet that can absorb the midday peak.

Structural and building fabric due diligence first

We assess roof age, sheet type, purlin capacity, fixings, membrane condition and remaining life before committing to a mounting strategy. Where a roof has under ten years left, we model re-roof-with-solar options so you are not paying twice to remove and reinstall an array.

Fire strategy, wind uplift calculations, insurer requirements and DNO connection or G99 export limitation are handled as part of design, not discovered during installation.

Delivery without disrupting operations

Our delivery partners work around live production, distribution shifts and food-grade or high-care environments. Phasing, access, hot-works control and roof safety planning are agreed with your site team before mobilisation.

What we assess

The checks behind the recommendation.

Half-hourly data review

Twelve months of import data to establish the genuine daytime baseload.

Structural survey

Purlin loading, sheet condition, fixing type and remaining roof life.

Yield and shading model

Site-specific irradiance modelling with obstruction and soiling losses.

Grid and export position

G99 application, export limitation and DNO capacity constraints.

Commercial case

Payback, IRR, lifetime savings and carbon reduction under several price scenarios.

Route to delivery

Owned, leased or PPA — with the specialist installer matched to your site.
